Short stories are one of my favorite things to read. I am an avid reader of many genres, but I find reading short/flash fiction to be a great way to spend some time on a lazy afternoon!Mary does a great job with these short tales. Each is well-written and an interesting look inside the minds of these women. I related closely to a lot of the characters, so for me, that was particularly rewarding.
My favorite was "Justice is Served." That's definitely my kind of story--dark, a little crazy, and ends on this sweet revenge note!
I'd highly recommend this collection to someone looking for short tales that are a little dark and full of twists. Despite their being short, they'll keep you on your toes. And at $.99, this is a bargain. :)

I had the opportunity to read my first flash fiction. I had never heard about it until I picked up this book. It instantly captures your attention and let's you into the minds of people. Makes you see things at the very core of their soul. Very interesting read. Thanks Mary!
I was curious about the new genre termed flash fiction. When I read the stories, I was disturbed because it dived so deeply into personal emotions of other people. After considering it from a psychological perspective, one realizes that everybody wears some type of mask. It brings up the question of to what extent a person is willing to allow others to see behind the mask. It can be painful to take off the mask.
Take Off Your Mask by Mary Papas is my first venture into flash fiction short stories as a reader and I'm still searching for the right words to describe it.
At first, I was shocked at how the author drops the reader so deeply inside the thinking processes of the narrator in each story. It's a highly exposed dare upon one's soul. The reader has to let each word soak in the mind long after the author drops you off at the end of the ride. Bottom line? I think this lady is on to something in her style and genre that may define the mindset for future flash fiction authors. I give this short book 4 stars but true FF readers will most likely give all 5. My reason for four? It's just not my comfort zone and genre. (no offense intended to the author or lovers of the genre)

This flash fiction eBook is written in narrative format and the stories are both intriguing and engaging. I believe the author does a good job at pulling the reader in.
In the future, I'd like to see more dialogue in Mary Papas' stories. Good job!
I am always amazed and surprised that this author can pack so much feeling into the short, short stories. This collection is a great example of that. What is hidden behind the masks that we all wear? You will be surprised, astounded and delighted with what the author shares about the mask and what lies underneath. Great stories by an author everyone should check out.
Mary Papas quickly takes us to the dark side of the narrators in each of her flash fiction stories. I have to admit...the dark side takes me out of my comfort zone and it's not usually where I choose to go when I read. But I have found in life and reading that getting out of my comfort zone is not only necessary but also beneficial. I found the book to be well written and insightful. In flash fiction style...she quickly builds the story then gives you a rollercoaster turn at the end. I would recommend Take Off Your Mask to anyone but especially for readers to love a twisted tale.
"Take off Your Mask" is a collection of flash fiction stories that speak to one's most innermost feelings. One story is more riveting than the next with its fast paced emotion charged dialogue. I think almost anyone can relate to some of the deep feelings of insecurity, pain, betrayal,fear, sadness and even love which these characters portray, even if they hide behind a mask. I enjoyed each of the separate episodes in this collection, but particularly the last one. The twist at the end of each story caught me off guard each and every time. I highly recommend this thought provoking book.
